Constraint Therapy Week Two in Review

Isaiah has had a busy schedule the last two weeks! On Monday of last week, Isaiah and Grandma Kelly went to therapy to work with lefty. Unfortunately, Isaiah's cast had slid downwards and was bruising his arm and incorreclty supporting his right arm. As a result, the therapy time was used to recast his right arm up to his arm pit to keep it from happening again.

Has there been any improvements? Yes, small but significant. He can now raise his left arm up to almost shoulder height three times in a row. His goal is five times and we will be working on improving his strength and stamina in the next few days. Isaiah can also bring his toothbrush to his mouth when laying down. Today at therapy he was using his left hand to operate a switch connected to a very fun toy.

His attitude is excellent. He works hard when he is well rested and motivated. Mommy and Jeremiah have been messaging his left arm and hand with a vibrating toothbrush to improve his awareness in the hand. Isaiah has also been talking a lot! He is trying to say "dad" so hard. Prayer for Isaiah's speech to improve would be wonderful! I am so suprised at how patient and willing Isaiah has become with the cast. I think we can say he is officially "used to" it!

Check out a few of these pictures of the boys enjoying fall activities over the last two weeks. Thanks again for all of the prayer and support. Isaiah will keep trucking on-only two more weeks to go!
